Mission for America

We now have everything we need to build a clean economy with prosperity for all.

AI and robotics will eliminiate millions of jobs. Depending on our response this will be a catastrophe or an unprecedented opportunity. The Mission for America is a detailed, comprehensive plan for a sweeping mobilization to build a new, clean economy that provides access to a great means of making a living for all.

OceansOcean Conservation and RestorationTransforming U.S. waters into the healthiest marine area on Earth by cleaning up plastic, restoring reefs and kelp forests, protecting 30% of coastal waters, and countering ocean acidification.
22
Fossil FuelsTransitioning Away from Fossil FuelsManaging a decisive, coordinated 10-year wind-down of the fossil fuel industry through RFC-led buyouts, ensuring stable energy supply while supporting workers and communities through the transition.

About This Plan

The Mission for America is a comprehensive plan for how the United States can respond to the converging crises of AI-driven mass unemployment, economic decline, and catastrophic climate change. It is a blueprint for a 10-year national mobilization to build a new, clean economy capable of providing prosperity, security, and freedom for all.

The plan calls for putting millions of Americans to work building the industries and infrastructure the world desperately needs — clean energy, electric vehicles, green steel, retrofitted buildings, and more — while preparing for a future where AI and automation allow us to achieve radical abundance with far less labor.

This is a living document. We continue to update and refine it as conditions change and the AI revolution unfolds.
